Shamy Naidu, Executive at Transit Ads recently had a chat with the FM Redzone and Arye Kellman on the topic of why brands are making increased use of train station advertising.
Shamy notes how approximately 21,5 million commuters make use of public transport on a daily basis with about 1/4, or 5,5m traveling through rail infrastructure daily. They are economically active decision makers, so in this respect they are influencers. This is ideal for advertisers in terms of wanting to engage with these decision makers. They have a choice of what brands they use, and provides an ideal opportunity for brands.
